We had our first product to sell, in limited quantity to early adopters, and at the same time we launched our first online store with a soft launch. 

Once I had the bracket made, I needed to solve how to make a board so it could be modular. I knew I wanted holes to stick things in, I wanted square holes to fit 2x4's and 1x2's in, and, lastly, I wanted a cut across the back to hold a back board. The question was how do I accomplish that? Well, at a local hardware store, I explained to the gentleman working there what I wanted to accomplish and he told me about someone who had a CNC machine name Lance. I did not know you could use a CNC machine for wood, so I was skeptical. I called Lance and told him what I was looking for. We determined, while talking on the phone, that we needed to find a 4' x 8' board that would mount on the CNC machine and let the CNC cut out the board. I meet with Lance and scratched out what my idea was, he cut me a 4" x 72" board and asked me to draw out what I wanted and where. My next trip I turned in my template on the board he gave me and then we talked about the material type of 4' x 8' board. The next day Lance said he found a 1” thick Baltic Birch plywood he thought would work. To speed up the story, Lance's uncle programed the CNC machine and, after much trial and error, getting every measurement as perfect as we could, we had our first Portable Target main boards cut. The third time is a charm, there was a learning curve, but I think we came up with a winner. From a clay model and some trial and error, we came up with a bracket that will fill the need. The design of the bracket made it easy to install the legs with wire pins and requires no tools. Flip the target stand over, you are ready to load it up with targets, and have a blast. 

From my mind, to a model that I would enable me to share my vision with others....so the prototype production began. Please follow our journey as we recreate the recreational shooting experience. 

A friend called one early evening and invited me to go shooting, in the great outdoors, the next day. Of course I said yes, since most of my shooting experience had been at indoor shooting ranges. As I was getting my guns and ammo ready to go, I started daydreaming and the creative juices stated flowing, I went to the hardware store down the street to pick up a prebuilt saw horse, plastic pipe, corrugated signs with metal stands and, with some stuff I had around the house, I started creating a shooting stand that could be reconfigured to hold different types of targets, including paper target, golf balls and, of course, bottle and cans.
I do not know how to describe the look my friend had when he saw the contraption I built, but I can tell you this, the group of us that ended up going that day all had a blast shooting targets that I hung or mounted on the stand. One friend was struggling to sight his scope with a target in the dirt. So I setup a new target on the stand and he had his scope setup within a couple of shots.  By the end of the day, I was convinced and encouraged to move forward with marketing this stand.
